Objective

To provide expertise and services on property valuation, property taxation and land rent estimation.

Functions

  1. To advise the Government on all valuation matters;
  2. To provide reviews on valuation rates to be used by practicing Valuers;
  3. To provide guidelines and procedures for general valuation and valuation casework;
  4. To provide general valuation information to the public;
  5. To prepare and review land rent rate handbook through rating valuations;
  6. To assess and recommend the premium to be paid on grant of a right of occupancy; and
  7. To collaborate with appropriate institutions in recovering financial losses originating from unethical valuation practices.
