Objective

To settle disputes arising from land ownership and real property issues at District level.

Activities

1. Evaluate/assess performance of the existing Tribunals and prepare reports for appropriate measures;
2. Build and develop capacity of the District Lands and Housing Tribunals (DLHT) for effectiveness and efficiency performance;
3. Provide guidelines on daily operations of the Tribunals;
4. Monitor the conduct of Assessors to ensure adherence to ethics and code of conduct in discharging services;
5. Determine and advise the Minister on fees payable for the services of the Tribunals; and
6. Facilitate the process of appointing Tribunal Brokers.
